About a month of work, on and off. Bent°Corner keeps growing – this page shows where it stood on day 30.
A free Windows app for trading cards. Hold a card up to the camera – recognized. Then: collection, decks, binders, prices, trading with friends. No account, no tracking.
Hold it up. Done.
SCAN° recognizes card and print in milliseconds and books it into the current pack – with its price. Last hit and biggest hit stay in view.
Staged scene: the official card image instead of a camera photo.

Build, test, compare.
Every deck a tile with format, value and bracket. Folders on the left, one click into the deck – or draw a test hand right away.

Everything about a card, no digging.
Click a card: its detail opens on the right – image, prints, languages, prices and which of your decks use it.

Pages like a real binder.
Double pages, nine pockets each – you see at a glance what's in and what's missing.

Get told when it's time.
Set a price for cards you want or want to trade away – Bent°Corner tells you when it's crossed.

Look into a friend's library.
Share lists, binders or your whole library – end-to-end encrypted, only with friends. Then see what they have, what they want and what you could swap.

Grey on grey. On purpose.
Everything looks like keys on an old device – light from the top left, shadow to the bottom right. The cards bring the colour.
Press: 19 ms down, 241 ms back with a tiny bounce. On or off is always a little light – no ticks, no colours.
Bent°Corner started out cyan and pink. Today grey is the default – Neon is still there for anyone who misses it.
A card, stuck on a little crooked, corner bent. Small, the corner folds further back and becomes pixel art; medium gets a dot, big gets a ring – always centred over the fold.
Recognized in milliseconds. On your PC.
You hold the card up to the camera. Everything runs on your PC – the camera image never leaves it while you scan.
SCAN° turns the image into a fingerprint: 384 numbers. Similar images give similar numbers.
The cards with the most similar numbers are the candidates – searched in the data pack on your PC.
A classic image comparison and the card number it reads confirm the match. If anything is unclear, SCAN° asks.
You decide how far.
Orbit is everything that circles around your collection: prices, marketplaces, price alerts, friends and trading. The rings show how far your data travels – Near: you fetch, Full: you share.
Your collection stays on your device. Bent°Corner fetches no extra prices.
Price downloads from our price server and the price sources (MTGJSON, Cardmarket, exchange rates) – they see your IP address like any website, but nothing from your collection.
On top: a random ID at the Bent°Corner mailbox and end-to-end encrypted parcels only to your friends – the server can't read them.
Card data, card images, look-ups (e.g. EDHREC, Commander Spellbook) and updates come in every level – a request only names the card or deck you look up. Change Orbit any time under Settings → Friends & privacy.
One thing at a time.
I pick one focus, build a little lab for it and work it through until it's right. Then the next one.
Key lab
Sliders for light, shadow and press – until every key felt right.
Logo labs
Three rounds, four ideas, three variants each – with sliders for tilt and size.
Fortune lab
The Bent°Corner Fortune Card: open it, read your fortune, keep scanning.
Scan page
How should scanning feel? Tiles, hits, pauses – rebuilt until it felt calm.

Scalper Invaders
The mini game from Bent°Corner – it runs in the app while the card data loads. Your card back is the spaceship. Down come boosters and scalpers who want to buy everything. Catch the boosters, shoot the scalpers, let none cross the line – three lives, because even collectors have limits.
On phones it's read-only – you play with mouse and keyboard.
